Lake Biwa Museum will host a seminar on community environmental work on November 1, from 1–4 p.m., in its conference room. It is open to junior-high-school students and older, with 15 places available in order of application. Participation is free, although visiting the permanent exhibitions requires a separate admission ticket.
The program uses the Akanoi Bay restoration project to explain how residents and other groups have worked together on environmental protection. Talks will consider that cooperation and the study of water environments. The prefecture’s announcement directs applicants to the museum’s event page for online registration.
