Visitors to Asahikawa Central Library can try games developed by local high-school students at a hands-on event on November 3, 2026. The session runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the second-floor reading room and is aimed at children and adults.
The students have turned their inquiry-based learning about Asahikawa into activities including karuta and card games that introduce the city’s attractions. The event is part of the 28th library festival.
The reading room will be unavailable for ordinary reading and related use from October 31 through November 3 because of preparations and the event. The notice concerns this room, rather than announcing a closure of the whole library.

旭川市中央図書館は11月3日午前10時～午後3時、2階読書室で高校生による体験型イベントを開く。市内の高校生が探究活動で考えた、旭川の魅力を盛り込んだカルタやカードゲームなどを、子どもから大人まで楽しめる。第28回図書館まつりの企画。準備と開催のため、読書室は10月31日～11月3日、読書などの通常利用ができない。図書館全体の休館案内ではない。
