Kagoshima Prefecture is accepting applications from Mishima Village residents to observe a dialogue with the governor on November 21, 2026, according to an October 19 update. The meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Mishima’s development centre on Iojima and will focus on strengthening local industry and earning capacity. Around 50 observer places are available; observers will not be able to address the governor. Applications must arrive by November 13, and a lottery will be held if demand exceeds capacity. Applications for speaking participants have already closed.
