Shiga will hold a free online seminar for businesses and employees on October 29, from 2 to 3 p.m., focusing on how more varied working arrangements can widen recruitment opportunities.

The Zoom session will examine labour shortages, jobseekers’ needs and how companies can design internal systems to accommodate different ways of working. A recording is planned for later on-demand viewing. Applications are available through the prefecture’s workplace-improvement programme website linked from the announcement.

This is the third event in a five-part seminar series. It sits alongside a programme that sends labour and employment specialists to small and medium-sized enterprises in Shiga, connecting discussion of recruitment challenges with support for improving workplaces. The announcement was issued on October 23.
