Mount Kurikoma’s Sukawa route has been closed since October 15, 2026, and is scheduled to remain closed until early June 2027, according to an Iwate Prefecture notice updated on October 19. The prefecture says winter snow prevents gas monitoring needed for safety. The route had reopened on July 18 before the winter closure. Hikers are asked to stay off the Sukawa route during the closure period.
栗駒山の須川コース、冬期閉鎖は2027年6月上旬まで
岩手県の10月19日更新によると、栗駒山の須川コースは2026年10月15日から通行止めとなり、2027年6月上旬まで閉鎖予定です。冬は積雪の影響でガス観測ができないことが理由です。同コースは7月18日に通行を再開していましたが、冬期閉鎖に入りました。県は閉鎖期間中に立ち入らないよう登山者へ求めています。
