Toyama plans to present its tulips at GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama from March 19 to March 28. The prefecture’s ten-day display is shorter than the full international horticultural exhibition, which runs from March 19 to September 26, 2027.
The plans include an immersive dome, a gallery displaying prefectural tulips, including locally developed varieties, and a tower presenting Toyama scenery and events. The horticultural exhibition is classed as an A1 event, the highest category, according to the prefecture.
A separate event-space programme, including tulip sales, tourism promotion and hands-on activities, is planned for March 19–26. Toyama says it will publish further details as they are finalised. The prefectural exhibit should therefore not be assumed to continue throughout the exhibition’s full six-month run.
富山県、2027年園芸博で10日間のチューリップ展示を予定
富山県は横浜市で開かれるGREEN×EXPO 2027で、3月19～28日の10日間、県産チューリップ等を展示する予定。県育成品種を含むギャラリー、没入型ドーム、風景やイベントを紹介するタワーを計画している。県の説明では博覧会は最上位A1クラスで、全体の会期は2027年3月19日～9月26日。別途、3月19～26日に販売・観光PR・体感コーナーを予定し、詳細は確定次第公表する。県展示の期間と博覧会全体の会期は異なる。
