Students living or studying in Aichi can apply for free Boeing 787 simulator sessions at Chubu Centrair International Airport on November 28. Applications close November 12. Fifth- and sixth-graders attend in the morning, and junior-high students in the afternoon, with 15 places per group and a lottery if oversubscribed. Travel costs are participants’ responsibility.
The organizer, the Aichi-Nagoya Aerospace Consortium, brings together local government, industry-support bodies and universities to develop the region’s aerospace sector. A separate paper-glider workshop for fifth- and sixth-graders takes place in Nagoya on December 6; applications for its 15 places close November 19.
