Gunma is seeking a contractor to study transport needs and help establish a proposed council for the Tone-Numata area. Participation applications are due by 5 p.m. on October 30, 2026, and proposals by 5 p.m. on November 6. The tax-inclusive budget ceiling is 29,645,000 yen.
The prefecture says route buses, community and demand-responsive buses, and medical or care-facility shuttles are not sufficiently coordinated. It also points to the June 2026 closure of National Numata Hospital as a reason to rebuild access to medical care.
The work covers Numata, Minakami, Showa, Kawaba and Katashina, starting with cooperation among the prefecture, Numata and Showa. It includes data analysis, interviews and council meetings, with the contract running to February 12, 2027. Eligible bidders must have a business office in Gunma and meet the full requirements in the notice.

群馬県は利根沼田地域の交通需要調査と協議会設立準備を担う事業者を募集している。参加申込は10月30日午後5時、提案書は11月6日午後5時が期限で、税込上限額は2,964万5,000円。路線・コミュニティ・デマンドバスや医療・介護施設の送迎が十分連携していないこと、2026年6月の国立沼田病院廃止による医療アクセス再構築が背景。沼田・みなかみ・昭和・川場・片品の5市町村を対象に、県・沼田市・昭和村を出発点として分析や聞き取り、会議を行う。契約期限は2027年2月12日。応募には県内事業所など、募集要領の全資格要件を満たす必要がある。
