Kobe City’s October 27 waterfront programme lists two separate events for November 7–8, both from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A car-life festival is planned at Meriken Park, while a disaster-preparedness event will use the lawn north of Kobe Port Tower. Admission to both is listed as free.

The car event plans exhibits and test rides involving environmentally oriented vehicles and vehicles with driver-support features, alongside presentations by automotive training schools. The disaster event includes a quiz-and-stamp activity about the first action to take in an emergency. Kobe’s waterfront programme uses several different spaces, so a port-area event listing should not be read as one shared venue or one continuous show. Dates and arrangements remain subject to organiser updates.

Local perspective

A waterfront stop can include practical learning alongside sightseeing: one programme addresses vehicle use, the other immediate emergency decisions. Their nearby but distinct venues make location checks worthwhile for visitors with limited time. These activities offer ways to engage with everyday local concerns, without establishing that attendance produces safer behaviour or higher tourism spending.
