People who live or work in Gunma Prefecture can apply for an outdoor activity day at Hokumo Youth Nature Centre in Takayama on October 28, 2026. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with approximately 100 places allocated on a first-come basis. Applications close on October 26.
Entry costs 100 yen per person for accident insurance and related expenses; some activities carry additional charges. Planned options include free walks and visual orienteering, as well as paid woodcraft, firewood splitting and campfire activities. A newly announced wood-piece craft booth run by the National Akagi Youth Friendship Centre is free. It will be near cooking building B and is not shown on the published venue map.
The centre uses outdoor experiences to introduce the public to its work and promote nature-based learning. Families and individuals may participate.
北毛青少年自然の家、10月28日に体験活動のオープンデー
群馬県高山村の北毛青少年自然の家は、県内在住または在勤の人を対象に、2026年10月28日9時30分～14時にオープンデーを開く。家族でも個人でも参加でき、約100人を先着順で受け付ける。応募は10月26日まで。参加料は傷害保険料などとして1人100円で、一部の体験には別料金がかかる。散策やビジュアルオリエンテーリングは無料。国立赤城青少年交流の家による木片を使った無料のクラフト体験が追加され、会場図には載っていないB炊飯棟付近で行われる。自然体験を通じ、施設の活動を知ってもらう催しとなっている。
