A second business-exchange tour in Tottori City is scheduled for November 5–6, operator Sibire announced on October 29. Applications for this edition have already closed. The programme is aimed at companies considering collaboration, research or new operations with local organisations, rather than general holidaymakers.
The operator says five outside companies joined the first tour in July and three continued discussions afterwards. That is a report of continuing dialogue, not three signed business deals. The coming itinerary includes local businesses, Tottori Bank, Tottori University and the Katokami business-collaboration space. Katokami opened in July, adding a physical meeting place to the city’s business-support network.
Local perspective
Continued discussion is a useful intermediate sign for a relationship-building tour, because cooperation often needs contact after the visit. It is still a different measure from investment or a completed joint project. The mix of businesses, a university and a bank gives the next tour several practical avenues for discussion, without proving that any participant will establish operations in Tottori.
