Wakayama has published school-by-school capacity tables for entry to prefectural high schools in fiscal 2027. The full-time section lists 157 classes and 6,200 places, while the part-time section lists 16 classes and 570 places.
The table distinguishes ordinary recruitment from progression by pupils already enrolled in attached prefectural junior-high schools. Specified classes at Hashimoto, Koyo, Toin, Hidaka and Tanabe are reserved for those progressing pupils and are not recruited through the prefectural high-school selection process.
Correspondence courses at Ito Chuo, Kinokuni Seiun, Nanki and Shingu have no fixed capacity in the table. Wakayama municipal high-school figures appear separately as reference information. The prefectural education division listed the release on October 23, and its admissions page also provides links to selection rules, an outline and the examination schedule. Applicants should consult the documents for their intended school and course.

和歌山県は2027年度の県立高校の学校別・学科別募集定員を公表した。表の全日制は157学級・6,200人、定時制は16学級・570人。橋本、向陽、桐蔭、日高、田辺の所定の学科・学級には県立中学校からの進学者のみを対象とし、高校入学者選抜による募集を行わない区分があるため、総数を全て一般募集枠とは扱えない。伊都中央、きのくに青雲、南紀、新宮の通信制は定員を特に定めていない。市立高校の数値は別に参考掲載する。教育課の新着一覧では10月23日に公表し、入試ページに実施要項・概要・日程も掲載している。志願先の学校・課程の資料を確認する。
