Art displays, performances and hands-on activities will bring people together at Tochigi Fukushi Plaza and Wakakusa Arena in Utsunomiya on October 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The 29th Tochigi Prefecture festival celebrating cultural participation by people with disabilities will include sales of handmade goods, food stalls and a ceremony at noon. The official programme also lists opportunities to try braille and guiding activities, adapted sports and encounters with guide dogs in training.
The festival is intended to support cultural participation by people with disabilities and foster wider understanding through exchange. Visitors are asked to use buses where possible because parking is limited. The venues are at 1-10-6 Wakakusa, Utsunomiya.
宇都宮市で10月31日に障害者文化祭、展示や体験を予定
10月31日午前10時～午後3時、宇都宮市若草1-10-6のとちぎ福祉プラザ・わかくさアリーナで第29回栃木県障害者文化祭が開かれる。作品展示、芸能発表、手工芸品販売、模擬店などを予定し、正午からセレモニーを行う。公式チラシには点字・ガイド体験、障害者スポーツ体験、盲導犬訓練犬とのふれあいなども掲載。障害のある人の文化活動への参加を支え、交流を通じて理解を広げる催しで、駐車場が限られるため、できるだけバスの利用を呼びかける。
