Yamagata Prefecture is accepting applications to manage Asahi Shonen Shizen no Ie, its youth nature centre in Oe, from October 23 to November 27, 2026. The proposed management period runs from April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2030. Applications must be delivered or posted to the prefecture’s education department, with mailed documents arriving within the application period.
Selection and formal designation are separate stages: the prefecture plans to announce its preferred candidate in January 2027, followed by designation after an assembly vote in March. A site briefing is scheduled for November 5 at 10 a.m.; applications for that visit must arrive by November 2 at 5:15 p.m.
