A postponed Sapporo event based on the Pan Dorobo, or Bread Thief, picture books will run from November 23 to December 30, organiser Hokkaido Television Broadcasting (HTB) announced on October 23. The venue is Sapporo Factory Hall, with final entry at 5:30 p.m. Opening is at 10 a.m. on weekends, public holidays and December 28–30, and noon on other weekdays.

The programme includes photo settings and a display linked to the latest book. The goods shop is in a different building, Sapporo Factory Building 3, second floor; it can be entered without an event ticket. There will be no food sales at the event. On weekends, holidays and December 28–30, entry before 2 p.m. requires a time-specific ticket. Old tickets cannot be used during those periods; holders should check HTB’s exchange and refund instructions.

Local perspective

For visitors drawn to Japanese picture-book culture, this is a character exhibition rather than a bread-tasting stop: HTB explicitly rules out food sales. The separate, ticket-free goods shop also makes browsing merchandise a different choice from entering the exhibition. That distinction helps travellers plan their time and ticket needs without assuming the book’s food theme describes the facilities.
