Toyama plans an October 27 send-off for its delegation to the Nenrinpic national sports and cultural festival. The ceremony runs from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in the prefectural government building’s fourth-floor hall.
The full delegation numbers 152, comprising 12 headquarters officials and 140 competitors and other participants. Of those, 87 are expected at the send-off. Toyama also plans to submit nine works in six art-exhibition categories.
Nenrinpic, held since 1988, combines sport and culture to encourage social participation and exchange, particularly among older people. This year’s festival takes place across 24 municipalities in Saitama from November 7 to 10. Toyama’s participants will join 17 sport categories and three cultural categories; the October ceremony is separate from those November competitions.
富山県、ねんりんピック152人の選手団へ10月27日に壮行会
富山県は10月27日午後2～2時30分、県庁4階大ホールで、ねんりんピック彩の国さいたま2026の選手団結団壮行会を予定する。選手団152人は本部役員等12人と選手等140人で、壮行会には87人が参加予定。美術展6部門には9作品を出品する。1988年から続く全国健康福祉祭は、スポーツ・文化を通じ高齢者を中心に社会参加や交流を図る催し。大会は11月7～10日、埼玉県内24市町で開き、富山県はスポーツ17種目と文化3種目に参加予定。10月の壮行会と11月の競技日程は別となる。
