Neighbourhood associations and similar groups in Asahikawa can apply for streetlight installation support from November 4 to December 11, 2026. The third application round accepts submissions on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding public holidays; postal applications are also possible.
The scheme supports energy-saving security lights such as LEDs to improve road safety at night. Support is limited to half of installation costs, with per-light ceilings of ¥22,000 on existing poles and ¥46,000 where a new pole is installed. Budget constraints may reduce awards. Work carried out before the city issues its provisional subsidy notice is excluded.

旭川市は街路灯設置補助金の三次受付を11月4日～12月11日の平日9～17時に行います（祝日除く、郵送可）。町内会等が設けるLEDなどの省エネ型防犯灯が対象。工事費の2分の1以内で、既存柱への設置は1灯2万2,000円、新設柱は4万6,000円が上限です。予算により減額の場合があり、予定額通知前の工事費は対象外です。
