Sapporo City is offering free smartphone classes with SoftBank for residents unfamiliar with using the devices. The programme mainly serves older residents, but there is no age limit. Sessions cover basic operations and topics including LINE, internet use and disaster preparedness.
Places are allocated in order of telephone reservations, with ten participants per session. The second round includes sessions at Chieria on November 4 and 12. Participants can bring their own smartphone; loan devices are available for people who do not have one.

札幌市はソフトバンクと連携し、スマートフォンの操作に不慣れな市民向けに無料教室を開いています。主に高齢者を想定していますが、年齢制限はありません。基本操作に加え、LINE、インターネット、防災への備えなどを学べます。電話予約の先着順で各回10人。第2回の日程には、ちえりあでの11月4日・12日の教室も含まれています。自身のスマートフォンを持参でき、持っていない人には貸出用の端末を用意しています。
