Kasai’s tourism association will hold a city-wide event at 11 shops and facilities on November 23. Its October 26 announcement describes markets, a plant-factory tour, furniture displays and a new-sake festival among the options. Opening hours differ by venue.
A 500-yen event badge gives access to specified benefits when purchasing conditions are met; a separate badge is needed for each person receiving benefits. Visitors can attend without a badge, and its price does not include meals, shopping, admission or activity costs. Examples range from an agricultural market to a lettuce-growing facility, letting visitors choose their own combination rather than follow a single fixed programme.
Local perspective
Placing retail, farming and manufacturing stops in one event can make the connections between products and local work easier to explore. Its dispersed format also makes opening hours and travel between venues part of the experience. The badge is a conditional incentive, not an all-inclusive pass or proof that spending will be shared evenly across participating businesses.
