A roughly half-scale model of the Ishibutai tomb is now on display at Nara Park Bus Terminal, Nara Prefecture announced on October 20, 2026. The large monument was first shown at a JR Central event space in Tokyo Station in August as part of a tourism promotion. It was then displayed at the Kashihara Bunka Kaikan gallery, on the sixth floor of Kintetsu Department Store’s Kashihara branch, from September. The prefecture hopes the model will encourage visitors to see the actual tomb and other sites in the Asuka and Fujiwara area.
石舞台古墳の約半分の大きさの模型、奈良公園バスターミナルに展示
奈良県は2026年10月20日、石舞台古墳を約2分の1の大きさで再現した模型を奈良公園バスターミナルで展示中と発表しました。大型の模型は8月に東京駅のJR東海イベントスペースで観光PRの一環として展示され、9月からは近鉄百貨店橿原店6階の橿原文化会館ギャラリーで公開されていました。県は模型をきっかけに、実物の石舞台古墳や飛鳥・藤原地域の観光地を訪れてほしいとしています。
