Kyoto Prefecture will display measuring instruments, information panels and awareness posters in the first-floor lobby of Prefectural Government Building No. 2 from October 30 to November 2.
The display is part of November’s measurement-awareness activities. Seven winning slogans have been selected from entries by people working in manufacturing, distribution and environmental measurement businesses, with stickers distributed for display at workplaces and shops. The prefecture also plans its annual November awards for contributions to measurement.
November 1 commemorates the date when Japan’s current Measurement Act took effect in 1993. Kyoto’s programme marks that national observance through local displays and awareness activities at workplaces and shops. The notice was listed as new information by the prefecture’s verification office on October 23.
