A grand-opening event for the skatepark at Okubiwa Sports no Mori in Nagahama is scheduled for November 3, 2026. Shiga Prefecture says completion of the second construction phase allows the park to open fully after last year’s partial opening. Plans include advanced skaters’ demonstrations from 10:30 to 11 a.m., a beginners’ session from 11:30 a.m. to noon, and a competition from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
