Aichi Prefecture has closed applications for its December 5 trapping-skills seminar after the 20 places were filled. The event remains scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kitaoda no Ie in Toyota.

The prefecture is developing new hunters as part of efforts to capture wild boars in response to classical swine fever. The free seminar is intended for Aichi residents who already hold a trapping licence and are considering hunting or nuisance-wildlife control, or who have limited trapping experience.

The programme covers the use of wild game and practical skills. It is not a preparation course for the hunting-licence examination. The updated notice’s closure takes precedence over the original November 6 application deadline. Weather may still lead to changes or cancellation, which the prefecture says it will announce on the same page.
