People in Okayama can practise recognising police impersonation, investment and romance scams through a simulation on LINE. In guidance updated October 23, 2026, the prefecture explains that users scan a two-dimensional code on a smartphone or similar device and interact with a simulated scammer.
The tool was developed under a community-safety agreement signed by Okayama Prefecture and SoftBank in March 2026. It gives users a controlled way to encounter the approaches used in these scams. The prefecture provides printable material for crime-prevention talks; its page also links to separate monthly reports on recorded losses.
