Okayama has opened a design proposal process for a new hall and an expanded correspondence-course learning area at Okayama Sozan High School. Initial participation documents must be delivered in person by 4 p.m. on November 9, with submissions accepted on prefectural working days.
The planned hall is approximately 650 square metres. Its requirements include 280 fixed seats and flat space for at least 120 movable chairs. A separate extension of about 132 square metres is planned for the correspondence-course common room and related spaces.
The facilities support inquiry-based learning that brings together science, the humanities and collaboration with universities and businesses. The prefecture’s outline also envisages joint work by full-time and correspondence-course pupils. Design work is due to run until August 31, 2027, from the contract date. The approximately 37-million-yen scale stated in the notice concerns design services, rather than the entire building project, and is not an agreed contract price.

岡山県は10月21日、岡山操山高校の新ホール等の基本・実施設計について公募型プロポーザルを開始した。一次審査の参加表明書等は県の休日を除き11月9日午後4時までに持参する。ホールは約650平方メートルで固定280席と移動椅子120脚以上を置ける平場等を計画。通信制コモンルーム等は約132平方メートルの増築を想定する。大学・企業との連携や文理横断型探究、全日制・通信制生徒の協働を支える施設整備。設計業務の履行期限は契約日から2027年8月31日までで、公告の約3700万円は設計業務の規模を示し、施設整備全体の事業費や契約確定額ではない。
