Forty-one emerging artists have been selected for ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2027, which will run from March 5 to 7 at the Kyoto National Museum’s Meiji Kotokan. Kyoto Prefecture announced the selection on October 21, 2026.
The fair gives artists a direct role in planning, exhibiting and selling their work, with opportunities for visitors to speak with the creators. The 2027 event will be its tenth edition and will use the museum’s historic building as its exhibition setting.
Opening hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. Participation arrangements had not yet been announced in the prefecture’s release. The event is organised by Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto Shimbun and the fair’s organising committee.
京都のアートフェア、2027年3月開催へ若手41人の出品を決定
京都府は10月21日、「ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO 2027」に若手アーティスト41人が出品すると発表した。会期は2027年3月5～7日、会場は京都国立博物館明治古都館。作家自身が企画・出品・販売に関わり、来場者と直接対話する形式で、第10回を迎える。開場は午前9時30分～午後5時、最終入場は午後4時30分。発表時点では参加方法は未定で、後日案内するとしている。主催は京都府、京都新聞、実行委員会。
