The city’s supporter programme focuses on understanding and looking out for people with dementia and their families. The classes address basic knowledge, ways of interacting with people with dementia and the feelings of affected people and their relatives. People of any age can attend, and participants receive an Imabari dementia-supporter certificate after the course.
The venue is the fourth-floor multipurpose hall at the Airando Imabari general welfare centre. Applications are accepted through the online form or by calling the city’s long-term care insurance division on 0898-36-1528.
