An egg-and-chicken fair at Ikeda Zoo in Okayama on October 31 will offer a special admission arrangement for visitors carrying its colouring-sheet flyer. Each flyer allows up to two people to enter for 100 yen per person, according to the prefecture’s event notice. Supplies of the flyer are limited.
The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is organised by the Okayama Prefecture Poultry Association, with support from the prefecture and other organisations. Its purpose is to encourage local consumption of eggs, chicken and other livestock products produced in Okayama.
The programme lists product sales, displays, a quiz rally and an egg-weight guessing activity. Flyers are available at major egg and chicken retailers in the prefecture, the zoo, the prefectural government’s ground-floor citizens’ room and regional livestock-product offices. Visitors are asked to use public transport because parking is limited and congestion is expected. This article was independently written by Japan Local Wire from Okayama Prefecture materials.
