Up to five members of the public can observe Aichi’s public-works evaluation committee on October 29. Applications will be taken at the venue from 1 to 1:25 p.m., with a lottery if more than five people apply.
The meeting is scheduled for 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the sixth-floor ceremonial hall of the main prefectural government building. The agenda includes reassessment of three road projects and four river projects.
Aichi uses reassessment to examine whether long-running public works should continue, as part of an evaluation system intended to improve transparency and objectivity. The scheduled discussion is a review of proposals, rather than an announcement of final decisions.

愛知県は10月29日13時30分～16時30分、県庁本庁舎6階の正庁で事業評価監視委員会を開く。傍聴は5人で、同日13時～13時25分に会場で受け付け、希望者が多ければ抽選する。道路3事業・河川4事業の再評価などが議題。再評価は長期継続事業などを続ける妥当性を点検する仕組みで、公共工事の透明性・客観性を確保するための評価の一つ。今回は県が作成した対応方針案を審議する予定で、最終決定の発表ではない。
