Kochi City’s current notice lists normal operation for childcare facilities on Monday, October 26, with no city-wide closure. It covers nursery schools, certified early-childhood centres, small-scale childcare and workplace childcare facilities.
The city explains that different site conditions can lead individual facilities to make their own decisions. Families who are unsure should therefore contact their own facility. The notice, updated on October 23 in relation to Typhoon No. 30, says a major change prompting a city-wide closure would be posted on the website around 6 p.m. the previous day or around 6 a.m. on the day itself.
