TAGAJO YOGOTO light event set for November 21–29 with free admission

TAGAJO YOGOTO, a nighttime light event at the Tagajo ruins, is scheduled for November 21–29, 2026. Admission will be free.

The program includes projection mapping on the reconstructed south gate and a sea-of-clouds light display around the former administrative complex. A food area called TAGAJO GOURMET BASE will open only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Check the official event website linked in the prefecture’s announcement for further details.

Northern Iwate products fair set for Hachinohe on November 7–8

A fair featuring products from northern Iwate is scheduled for November 7–8, 2026, at Festa Plaza in the Lapia shopping center in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture. It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on November 7 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 8.

Eleven vendors from northern Iwate are due to sell products directly. The announcement highlights meat, alcoholic drinks, juice and sweets. Tourism promotion booths and a raffle are also planned. The organizer is Iwate Prefecture’s northern regional development bureau. The prefecture directs readers to the event flyer for exhibitor details.

Lapras café to open in Sendai on October 30

Miyagi Prefecture has announced that a temporary Lapras café will open at CROSS B PLUS in Sendai from October 30 to November 8, 2026. It will offer food and drinks themed around Pokémon associated with Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima.

Opening hours are 11 a.m.–5 p.m. from October 30 to November 5, and 10 a.m.–9 p.m. from November 6 to 8. Food and drink orders close earlier. Check the official notice for last-order times before visiting.
